Did you think we'd let April 1st go by this year without releasing a new version of Gang Garrison 2?
Well, if so, you were right, because it's already past midnight here in Germany. But let's not get hung up on details now eh?

Thanks to Lorgan, the Garrison Builder is now fully integrated into the main game, so the barrier to making your own maps is now lower than ever. There have also been improvements to the map format, which means that entities can now have extra parameters such as width and height, as well as entirely new features like parallax scrolling. Don't worry, existing maps are still fully compatible!
Lorgan also implemented reload animations for all weapons. The actual animations were created by SkeleDude.
We have also finally added many long-promised rewards from the 2014 Haxxy Awards, the Raybanns and the Halloween Mini-Haxxies. As always, you can manage your rewards by visiting
http://www.ganggarrison.com/forums/rewards/. Please tell us if you didn't receive your reward yet. Unfortunately, the Raybann badges have not been included in this update, but we will put this right soon.
Plugin authors might appreciate ajf's work on GGON, a JSON-like format for storing and transmitting information that is also used in the new map format. There has also been an update to Faucet HTTP, which now supports POST requests.
In other news, this is also the first release which is licensed under the Mozilla Public License v2.0, which allows us to use non-GPL libraries if we want to, or to port the game to a non-GPL engine. We had to get permission from everyone who ever contributed to GG2 to make this change possible, so I'd like to say a big Thank You for making this possible! If this all means nothing to you, don't worry - nothing changes for players, it's just that developers now have more options.
As always, there are also several bugfixes and small improvements.
