kildau can't get chat_v6 and chat_v2 working on his server appereantly, i think i dunno anymore

well he was running chat_v6 alone and chat_v2 alone, but me and my friends couldn't chat
/help worked, but i am not sure about the other commands like /me
but it just never sent a message

Chatting with JerseyJackal for a while, old chat_v2 (which stated chat_v3 in-game) for all intent and purposes, didn't leak near as often. Chat v6 doesn't allow more than a few days use before becoming unresponsive compared to chat_v2 allowing up to a week of use, we'll be testing this out more but it'll take a while.

We've seen the 1 hour limit working though, so that's something.

Hm the system behind chat_v2 is the same as chat so if anything it should crash less because I clean up the chatlog now.
I'll check if I'm doing something wrong...

Ok I found one mistake in the vote api which shouldn't cause a problem since there is no voting on jj's server.
What's interesting is that the ids of the buffers keep going up despite me destroying them. I would expect them to work like lists which re-use the ids of the destroyed lists. I'll ask ajf about this.

Edit2: He doesn't know either, maybe you can try hosting with a different chat / no chat to see if the problem persists?

This is intentional, it makes it unlikely for an id to be reused while something still points to it.
