He's over-exaggerating his perceived usefulness to the community. He's actually one of the most active beta testers in terms of rounding up discussion and providing ideas.

Well I am just saying it's easy to become a beta tester (pretty much anyone gets taken, especially at these 'new beta tester times') and you don't really have to do anything to stay one (->some people haven't posted in like a year. just mentioned you since you talked like you were the prime example of someone who doesn't do shit.), since there are people who apparently asume it's some kind of special position which makes you superior.

I personally don't care about beta tester status as I expressed at the beginning of the thread. If the devs don't want my input for the betas then I am sure as hell not going to grovel before them to ask for the position.

Well I wouldn't really say I don't do shit. I read the topics down there frequently. I don't post much because my opinion on balance and new features is biased due to the fact that I am a terrible player in general, I can't code or host, I tend to copy aspects of other games rather than coming up with new one and my influence is trivial at best.

I don't play the game nearly enough anymore to apply, and I'm fairly confident that there's a few competent enough people in the current group of beta testers to keep the idea ball rolling.
