nobody would ever do that. the only way to do stuff like that is small meetings between close friends like the devs are doing.

yeah, a large-scale meetup would be really awkward and it would be hard to have everyone actually get to a central location. mrfredman and company probably all live in the same state so that's probably why this is possible, or they're all willing to drive/fly far enough to do this (medo), which most of us arent

either way i'll definitely tune in for at least a little bit, this seems like a lot of fun
